Sources and notes

Chip check runs on your device. We don’t save or send the chip number unless you choose to save it to your own pet, and reloading the page clears it.

AAHA’s lookup is for adults. If you’re under 18, a vet clinic or shelter can look it up with you.

Hints come from public sources. A chip’s first digits name who probably made it, not where it’s registered now. AAHA’s lookup is the reliable way to see that. Last checked 2026-10-05.

General guidance. FindLostPets.com isn’t a microchip registry and isn’t part of AAHA.
