Notes from the organization

This squishy boy is Meatball! He is a 6.5 month old (DOB 2/1/26) male Shar-Pei/American Bully mix who is ready to bring his puppy energy to roost at your house! Meatball currently weighs in at around 43 pounds, and we anticipate he will get a bit broader and a little taller, but stay the sturdy stocky squishmallow that he is. Maybe a 50-60 pound adult in the end. Meatball is partially house trained (by all accounts he does pretty well), is crate trained, has lived with another dog as well as cats. He has decent manners for a puppy boy - sometimes its not easy having all that puppy power and controlling it 24/7, so once in a while you can depend on Meatball to bring the antics for certain. No worries though - what this boy is best at is making you LAUGH. Right out loud. From the center of your being. He's a clown in a dog suit, essentially. He does tolerably well walking on a leash - until he forgets himself, but he recovers nicely. He would likely do well with kids, though might be a little too Meatball for toddlers and babies.Meatball will need a family that is dedicated to continuing his training and socialization. This is one sweet happy kid - but to keep him that way, he needs some structure, some boundaries, some rules. He also needs plenty of stimulation and exercise - he is a pup after all! He does know how to sit, has been left loose in the house while alone and didn't destroy anything at all (but maybe not ALL of the time...), and likes to take rides in the car. He isn't super toy motivated, but we think he just needs to learn about toys and what they are and how they really work - and will then, quite possibly, become a huge toy lover. Meatball is currently available for adoption. If you are interested in him, please fill out the application to adopt
