Notes from the organization

Meet OliviaA real life Energizer Bunny!*Olivia is a 3-year-old, 50-lb mystery mix. Shes got the goofy grin of apittie and the voice of a beagle, but your guess is as good as ours! Whatwe do know is that her personality is bigger than her spotted-tongue-filledsmile. She`s never met a stranger, has never once thought `I don`t likethat,` and greets life at full volume.Olivia is ALL enthusiasm. She wants to play, she wants to run, andsometimes her big excited energy is a bit much for dogs who`d rather nap. She`s learned to give her elderly foster housemates space proof she canread the room when it counts but her excitement sometimes wins anyway. Ifanother dog snaps at her, she can get a little dramatic (head up, somenoisy snarling), but she`s never bitten. Her foster mom is actively workingon `leave it to refocus her attention, and she`s attended adoption eventsand lived alongside multiple dogs without issue. What she needs: A person who wants a real workout buddy someone ready torun, hike, or seriously exercise her body AND her brain. She`s got theattention span of a firework and thrives with structure, activity, and ajob to do. She knows several tricks and commands. Small, well-matchedplaygroups bring out her best goofy self. The fine print, because we love her too much to fib: - Big prey drive chases anything that moves, so cats, birds, and livestock are a hard pass (lazy cows might be the one exception). - She`s not a jumper, but she IS an opportunist a cracked door, loose gate, or open window is an invitation. Secure yard and careful humans required. - Independent streak she genuinely plays fetch with herself, tossing toys in the air solo. - Crate trained, house trained, and a great road trip companion.Olivia is silly, snuggly, and endlessly entertaining the daycare staffadore her and think she`s hilarious. She just needs someone who wants anactive, funny, all-in dog and is willing to help her burn off that energy.Could that be you? Since she`s currently in foster care, so please emailawdfoster@cabq.gov to schedule a meet-and-greet. Her ID# is 1898562.
