This girl wakes with a big HAPPY “good morning” and a let’s get this party started attitude! She is a ball of energy. Jolene loves her daily walks on leash with the other family dogs and as soon as she returns home, it’s zoomie time! Then she’s in your lap for lots of kisses and rest. Jolene really loves her humans. If not in your lap for kisses, she is accompanying you on every walk to the bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere. It doesn’t matter; she is just always happy to be with you. She continues to do very well with my 2 dogs but craves human affection. It’s possible Jolene may have a bit of separation anxiety as she prefers sleeping in her crate by my bed instead of being in the doggy room with the other pups. She is great about pottying outdoors. So far, she has not been prone to barking. Jolene is precious! Jolene is completely fixated on TV, and the little diva loves to look at herself in glass or mirrors. So, look out ladies! This beautiful, feisty little girl may just take your man! BIO: Are you looking for a fun-loving, toy-playing, puppy-partying kind of girl? Well, look no further. Jolene is all that wrapped up in a small package; just waiting for you to claim the prize. Due to family changes, she had to be surrendered to us with a few other dogs from Tennessee. It was in the best interest of all the dogs. True to her spirit, Jolene has not looked back and enjoys each day and what it holds. The only thing she asks is for there to be no big dogs or cats in her new home. Our must-haves for joyous Jolene include: A fenced yard Another young (3 years or under), small dog for her to play with because she does love to play No large dogs Someone who is home more often than not Sorry, no apartments, high-rises, or condos because, as with all Dachshunds, she likes to bark at noises No couch potatoes, please If you meet these requirements, please visit our website and apply to adopt this sweet girl. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. We cannot adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. Please look for dogs on your coast.
